Massage by its very nature requires the therapist to touch the client. However, a massage therapist should never engage in any sexual contact with a client. That includes sexual touching, sexually explicit comment or any type of sexual harassment or teasing.
Every massage client should dress and undress in private and once they lay on the massage table the client should be securely covered or draped with a sheet or towel that should be tucked-in in a way that sensitive areas will not be exposed.
Touching of the breasts is off-limits, this is either prostitution or sexual assault. In most parts of the U.S. massage of the breasts is off-limits, in the few States where this is legal there must be written consent from the client. In any event the genital area should be covered with a sheet or a towel while the therapist is working.
